ABOUT ME
Monique Jones has over five years of experience providing therapeutic services to youth, adolescents and adults, including psychotherapy, support counseling, and psychoeducation, as well as more than 10 years of experience in group facilitation, corporate training workshops, policy and program development, and community outreach and advocacy.
With a dual Master of Social Work and Master of Divinity degree and currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education, Leadership and Organization, Monique is passionate about empowering individuals to own their story and find value in reconnecting to their authentic self. Through integrating the mind, body, and if desired, spirit, she utilizes a relational-cultural approach for individuals, families and groups that explore strengths; family systems; and social, racial/cultural, and gender contexts.
Monique’s prior professional and community service experience includes over four years in immigration law at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP; interning with the United States Senate Health, Education, Labor & Pension Committee and India Sunday School Union in Tamil Nadu, India; a fellowship with Community Voices Heard in East Harlem, NY; Program Coordinator for the Princeton YMCA’s Y Scholars program; and Parent and Community Engagement Coordinator for Dallas Independent School District’s Racial Equity Office.
She is currently a Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging in the independent school system where she is an advocate for youth, families and the larger local community; Associate Therapist with Princeton Family Institute; and Board Trustee for Camp Dudley, Inc., a nonprofit organization enabling campers to lead lives characterized by devotion to others through the development of moral, personal, physical and leadership skills.
Monique enjoys bonfires and beachside waves, spoken word poetry and music festivals, training for marathons, traveling, and simply laughing.
